I started learning slowly, several months ago and have been messing w/ it on and off. There are really only a few things to get a grip of and the rest can be googled or found out pretty quickly, and their forum is super helpful. Best part is it's free if you are new to the knife game (making less than 100k per year)!

It's really cool because you can set up the 3D scales and blade exactly how you want it before you have it lasered or waterjet cut, or CNC machined. And you can even put textures on the material as well for renders and such! pretty neat

if you haven't tried it do yourself a favor and start learning, it's really valuable :) at least, in my opinion for what I do!

Josh, you're learning nicely. I wish Fusion was a stand-alone program I could work without being online. It does have a good learning curve for me. My years of AutoCAD experience seems to hinder rather than help my learning Fusion. Good job on your models.

Thanks Ken! Yeah I can totally get that coming from another CAD program. The cloud based CAD is definitely a downside in some situations, but I like that it's 3D CAD and has CAM functions integrated in. The monthly subscription is also pretty cool for when you reach that point so you don't have to fork over a few thousand dollars for a local program. hehe
