I have been wondering, do the lower # LE's sell for more money than a higher # LE.
For example if a have #29 and #927, would #29 be worth more?

I could see paying a premium if you were trying to collect all the LE's of a certain number but other that that I can't see why.

Maybe someone does care......but not I.

.

I don't think lower numbers mean much. The only number that is probably worth more is #1. #'s 13 and 7 might be worth slightly more, but other than that, they're pretty much equal.

I don't think so. # doesn't matter....it's a FBMLE same as number 999. I can see certain numbers being popular like #1 :p or #'s like 3 and 7. Unless it's #1, you probably won't be fetching too much more than cost right now anyways.

You can thank all the fluggin flippers for that. I hope they get stuck with all the knives they bought from the Ganzaa intending to flip immediately after :D

I'd say #1 is worth more and then they are probably all the same, unless you have a set of all the same number. A full set may increase the total value.

But what if its on the cover of a magazine? Then surely its worth a starting price of double the selling price, right? ;)

Me too

sorry for the double post

I dont care what number I get...

Why are 3 and 7 more valuable? If I had a choice what number I got it would be either #3 or #32 as those are my lucky numbers.

All else being equal, I value lower numbers at a premium to higher numbers. Given the example I would pick #29 over #927, how much extra I would pay would depend on the particular knife and the particular number.

Would it not be very easy to get any # engraved on the knife. So to me I would not pay any extra. Maybe if the knives are like 1 of 4 and you have 1-4 to sell. But I am not an expert by any means.

No, if you were to engrave #27 on one of your Busses, Jaxx would be like "WTF, 2 number twenty sevens??"

:D

Bah! Counterfeit = Bad Mojo. You do that and sell it and you have just committed fraud.

I think the number 13 could fetch a bit more if just because Jerry always posts a picture of #13 whenever he brings out a new model here and on the bussecombat web site.
(This may be wistful thinking on my part because I'm lucky enough to have Sus Scrofa #13).
Cheers,
"Bloody Bill"

I am not saying I would do that. But just pointing out that it could be done. It wouldnt be fraud to engrave a knife. But really I think it all depends on who wants to buy it. A number might be worth more to certain people with certain knives.

If it is a small run of a model I don't think the # would be that important (less than 100) but with the unlimited number of "LE" blades that get produced I like one from the early batches. There was some variation in the FBM LEs once you got up in the high numbers, maybe over #350. To get one in single digits would be desirable to me but with Jaxx having beat me by 52 seconds I'll be lucky to get double digits! ;)
