Very nice Mike. Everything looks "right", especially the stacked leather.

Looks like you are getting very comfortable creating these 5" blade "bowie like" (in profile) knives. And for good reason as it's a nice style/design IMO.

I'm curious though, as a 5" blade is a little too short for me to classify a knife as a bowie and I notice you labeled this one as a hunter, where other recent examples you didn't specify. Do you see these recent 5" knives as a "heavy duty hunters"?

Thanks for the response Kevin
IMO 5'' blade is as large as I would want as a hunter, 6" could be the vest pocket Bowie and 7" or better would be Fighter or Bowie.

^That's kind of where I was going with my post.
Your recent 5" beefy blade profiles are kind of large hunter but not quite bowie
and I'm liking the look of them.
Even though I prefer 4"-43/4" hunter blade, I can see where these knives not only look good
but would fit the bill very well for a combination of camp and work chores where you need something
a little more hefty than a hunter blade/handle.

Good Morning Mike
Tis Knife has lovely proportions and it looks very balanced. I love the way the damascus steel is showing. And the the stacked leather combination is gorgeous. I don`t like the stag on the end but this is only my personal taste. You should have use a dark desert ironwood or black african wood. But that is my personal opinion. I would love to see the leather sheath to that knife.
with kind regards
John
