If he scuffs it up some and throw up a pic of the knife "in counrty" he'll prabbly get more than just selling it plain. LOL

Why aren't eBay links allowed? There's some funny or cool stuff on there that people would like to see....we can't post 'em up?

It's not that they aren't allowed just basic members linking to their auctions is not allowed. I originally removed the link because I felt he was the seller. I still have my doubts but I have not been able to adequately back-up my claim. My apologies.

Not much of an actual discussion...
I'd remove it on the basis of spam... even if it ain't your auction, it's still spam

Its for sure...that it is his auction.who would give a crap about a unused knife that came back from Iraq..I have some unused underwear from my uncle from Vietnam should I auction that....who cares it s POS knife anyway..

yes the knife is brand new. It was given to me on a deployment to Afghanistan so I do not have the original box. It may have a little dust on it

If it's been carried and has dust on it, it's not new...

I tried the "but I didn't actually use it" arguement with an ex-girlfriend's dad once...

Kinda went something like this...
"Well sir, I know I had my Wang up your daughter's skirt, and although I tongue kissed her kitten all night long and had that big red vibrating dilly in her, I didn't actually put my schlong in, I only rubbed the outside, so technically, you don't have the right to point that shotgun at me...

Also, is he trying to imply that he was issued the knife by the military?

Well you can calm your fears. I am not the seller. I posted the link because I thought some collector might find added interest in the knife because it had been in a war zone, and the person who carried it there might get a better price for it.

I'll accept your apology for being so sure it is my auction.
Your opinion of the knife is your business, but I carry one every day and like it for a lot of reasons.

Decide for yourself if it is "new" or not. Those weren't my words.

hey Tex, to me, you're in Tejas, and the seller is in Idajo...

I'm breaking the guy selling in the auction... not you, although I do question why you would want to post something as irrelevant as that auction...

Tejas was in fact the tribe of Native Americans for whom Texas was named.
Early settlers called themselves Texians.

As far as why I would post it, I thought someone might be interested in collecting a WWII-vintage design that was actually carried in Afghanistan. Also I appreciate what the Idajo chap did over there, and what others are doing there and in Iraq.

Unless he has pics of him carrying it over in Afghanistan I doubt very highly it would have any collector value if any value at all except for the owner. All of which leads me to believe that the seller is falsely advertising the knife because I doubt that a soldier would not use a knife at least once in a combat zone. Whether he used it in combat or for cleaning his nails he would have used it. And the claim that the seller makes that it is "new" is BS as well. Once it's out of the box and into a pocket it's not new anymore.
