whats going on with so many post"s tonite. lots of people are making post that have been here a year or more with very low post counts. is there a glitch with the site, or do people really join up and wait a year or 2 before they post something.

btw, i was on here 8 or 9m years ago, and can never remember what my username or password was...lol.

Or don't find something that they feel needs THEIR contribution. There are many posts that pretty much read "me too!". I'm on a few forums where I've been signed up for years but have only posted 100 or less.

I agree with what defuse kit said. Alot can be learned from the site, but some of the sections are restricted to nonmembers. Therefore people sign up with the intent of learning, rather then posting. I was new to knives when I signed up and wanted to be able to access some of the restricted areas. Now, I have started posting as I believe I can actually make a positive contribution.

I dont see anything wrong with it.

Also ironic that this would be posted in the knife discussion area. :D.
I moved it where it belongs since it has nothing to do with knives.

sometimes folks join a forum, and only visit the site every now and again, and rarely post, maybe they lost interest, dont have the time anymore, could be a lotta things.

i belong to a lotta gun and knife forums, but i rarely go anywhere anymore but BF, i dont have as much free time as i used to, and i stay at my girlfriends place 3-4 nites a week and she still has dial up 'net service and a 1994 model PC, i long ago gave up even checking email from her place, lol, but she is planning, finally, to get a new PC and going to roadrunner in the next couple of months.
