I found this on the net, ordered one, and it looks like a perfect hawk to keep in the car. It doesn't look tactical at all, but it seems to fill all the tactical needs for a SHTF tomahawk. It also seems a great outdoors axe.

Forged head, hammer poll, composite handle

What do you guys think? Does anyone knows a good place for a sheath for this baby?

Bahco makes something very similar. ISTR they called it a French axe or something similar. However, nobody seems to carry it.

Where'd you find this baby?

Do you have a link where you bought it on the net? I can't find anything on this link that is provided.

I like this a lot too. I concur. Can you please provide a direct link?

Thanks, man. I'll have to check into it. I do like the look of it.

I wish there was a US distributor.

I bought this in a Bricomarche or hardware store of a Paris suburb in Feb this year(2007). It was called "hachette a tete" or "small axe to the head". It came with a little rubber johnson over the edge. I can throw it pretty well and it cost about 27 Euros like somebody else mentioned.

I remember from studying history that the French tribes used a throwing axe as their primary weapon against the Saxons who used a sword or Sax. I would send a picture, but I can't figure out how to send a jpg image to this list. Same thing, green painted head with straight yellow fiberglass handle. Little red rubber hickey over the sharp edge.
