Just got a new job and they dont seem super knife friendly (although not against company policy) so im looking for a knife with a pocket clip that buries the knife in my pocket (no/barely any handle showing) all I can think of is SOG (I would rather not :barf:) and the Spyderco UKPK and other Spyderco wire clip knives. Any others?

The Mcusta Tactility and the Buck Vantage Select both have clips that ride very low and look like fancy pen clips.

The rukus/mini rukus clips ride low, but they aren't very strong. The only other clips I can think of are the Spyderco wire clips which you mentioned.

Al Mar mini & reg. Sere 2000s. Of course, you could contact "STR" & ask if he's still doing his Ti lowrider clips. I've had a few knives with his clips on them & they disappear along with being pretty light (They're Ti).

I had a SOG Visionary that wasn't too bad. They have VG-10 (Supposedly at 59-60 RC, although if seemed softer) on them now, which is definitely better than their AUS-8 that seems to be on everything they make.

A forum member whose initials and forum handle are "STR" makes his services available by repairing and fitting low-ride titanium clips to common production knives. I don't know the details but I'm sure you could send him a message about it. I know he's done many a job on the spyderco paramilitary. I've often contemplated ordering one for my ATR.

I have a boker kalashnikov that rides very low in the pocket. There is a push button auto and a manual.

The Ontario XM folder has a low ride pocket clip. Very hard to find a picture of the clip side though. Tip down carry only.

Plus I think he can ionize them to various colors. Bear in mind some knives are harder to do then other utilizing the thread holes of original clips.

I thought about STR, I kinda just wanna buy a new knife though :D
I didnt even think about the Vantage Pro, Ive been eye balling it lately too
I also forgot to say I do prefer tip-up carry

The Buck Max series have low ride clips. They come in 3 different sizes. Conventional lockback, 420HC steel, US made, tip up. Not fancy, but functional and very low cost.

I agree the Buck lites and Buck Vantage. Sogs work, but you seem to not like them.

Have you thought about clipping the knife in a less noticeable spot...I like the back pocket of cargos, or the cargo pocket itself, because the flap covers the knife and part of the clip. Plus most non knife people don't notice those pockets right off the bat...I read in a issue of Tactical Knives where you could cut a small piece of semi rigid material to fit your front pocket then cilp your knife to it. Just experiment with some different carry options until you find one that suits your needs and is more office friendly.

Someone mentioned the Mcusta, very nice knives.

Low riding wire clips on the Caly3 or UKPK are also an option.

Get the knife you really want, and if it does not have a low rider clip, Steve, aka STR, can usually make one for it. I've had three clips made by him and they were all perfect fits and gave me the low ride I want my knives to have. I am glad to see more manufactures putting the low ride style clip on their folders!:D

Or carry IWB. No one will ever know it is there. Or just drop one in the bottom of your pocket. Or, like has been suggested, get the knife you want, and have STR make a clip for it.

The Benchmade Pika, Pika II, and Fecas ( Fecas and Pika now discontinued ) have low riding clips. I have a Pika II and the clip wasn't tight in my pocket when I got it. Slightly bending the clip fixed the problem though.

What's your price point. The Buck Vantage Pro rides low and is a good value at <$50. Same with the Delica.

At around $100, there are some good Spydercos and BM's that could fit the bill. The Mcusta's seem to also ride low, but I don't own one. I carry a BM 440 almost everyday in my dress slacks and no one notices. I put in inside my beltline. There are also a few off brands that offer low-hanging clips, but I trust the quality of the brands above.

Kabar Dozier Bobcat. Just about invisible, good size and all-around cool folder.
