Lower Eastern Shore/DelMarVa Virginia

I'm going to OC MD the first week of August, and will be taking a day to visit the VA portion of the eastern shore. I've spent a lot of time in Chincoteague, and haven't ventured south of the Chincoteague intersection on Rte 13. I plan on turning around at the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel, but am at a loss for spots to visit.

As I said, I've been to Chincoteague, the Wallops Island museum. Never been to Wallops Island itself. My buddy and his extended family stayed at a resort near Cape Charles, said it was a nice spot.

I'll already be staying at an apt in Ocean City MD, so driving to VA Beach etc will not be an option.

Looking for spots to go fishing, grab a meal and a hard cider, see some beautiful views of the Chesapeake or the Atlantic. Museums, flea markets, knife shops (send an email), gun stores (send an email) etc. I'll probably go on a weekday.

Parks that I can traverse on foot too, or take a ferry out to.

You have to do the ferry trip out to Tillman Island for the island tour and lunch. I believe a ferry leaves from Cambridge or Crisfield for the 3 hour tour.

Blackwater wildlife refuge is a great place with some pretty flat trails in the piney woods. It's a popular nesting spot with bald eagles.
