I have truly enjoyed the forums since the summer of 99 when my interest in folding knives was reawakened. That led to just browsing and reading [lurking?]. Finally I joined the discussions but not at a fast pace. I'm still around. I post occassionally, but often others have already contributed my thoughts, singly or in a combination of posts. So why reiterate? There are a lot of good minds here. It is true the regular posters keep things alive and interesting here so I'm certainly not denigrating high post numbers. I was just wonder what members who have been around awhile have a lower post average than mine.

thanks,

Well-- I've been here since September 1999 too. We joined the same month. This is my 199th post. I'm here every day, though. I read WAY more than I post.

I've been here since opening day. There's not many of us around anymore.
I'm not a big poster either considering some of the higher post counts...lol :)

As I recall, you used to be able to acess the member list for BFC and I remember being amazed at the literally 100s of members who had never posted at all! :D

I'm sure there are those who registered and then forgot their password....never to be heard.

I always thought it was better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open my mouth and remove all doubt :p

I've posted quite a bit... however, I rarely post in the "general forums" and stuff although I do "lurk" there quite a bit. I like to read the real knife-related forums to get info and stuff for work, which is initially why I found this site, but mainly I post in the community forums because I like the people here.

The knife-related forums here are great to read and get personal (and professional) opinions and stuff about knives. With me, I mostly read to get ideas on knives in general, about all kinds of things I wouldn't even think of asking myself. I only post there if I have an actual opinion or question about knives.

For the amount of time I spend here, I could have a much higher post count if I wanted. I get way more enjoyment browsing and keeping track of what certain people are up to in their private lives and so forth as opposed to simply saying anything. Some people can respond to any thread, any subject, and add interesting content...I'm not one of them ;) Hats off to those who entertain me :D

Amen to entertainment and a good source of information about knives and all else really. pff and clarkjd have some pretty little numbers. Sometimes I wonder how many people read avidly here and never register. This is a very interesting place.

I try to swing by almost every day. But lately I've been busy at work and at home so I haven't been able to post much. But the "Bat" does check in on you guys. :D

I'm more of a reader than a poster. A lot of the time, there's already a similar idea in a particular thread, so I just pass on it (why be too redundant?)...

I've never really thought about it, but almost 7 years??? Damn....

Been here a while, don't post to much. It's the reason I never upgraded, although I do feel a little guilty about it.

You do realize that people with intentionally low post counts wouldn't bother posting in this thread to discuss the subject? :D
