Hi Sal- Any word if Spyderco will offer a Lrg UKPK? The UKPK is a great design and a larger model would be greatly appreciated.
You could call it the TPK, Texas Pen Knife.

Can't see it happening... A larger version would not fit the Uks laws, and most people prefer locks on larger knives

I prefer the slipjoint. It's such a simple, time proven design.
This Lrg PK would be for the US market. Most folk that I know who carry a folder carry a slippie.

Maybe one or two varieties, but not the breadth of the UKPK. I personally wouldn't consider it, but you never know how many people would. I bet Spyderco would/has considered it.

n- Sal is aware of this request. I think he was interested.
I just received a Lrg Carbon Fiber Case Sodbuster and I love it but I like my UKPK better. It's just a tad too small for me. A 3.5" blade would be perfect.

I like this idea. Although the UKPK was originally designed for the UK market, I personally have a fondness for the simplicity of the slipits on a daily basis. I EDC my UKPK regularly, and would like to see a slightly larger version.

Thank you Max.
Yes, this larger Spyderco slipjoint would target the US market.

I would go for it. I love the size of the UKPK but would love a bigger slipit from Spyderco.
How about one in Blue G-10, Drop Point FFG blade, CTS-XHP, 3.5" blade, and call it the USPK(United States Pen Knife)? Or even UPK(United Pen Knife)?
I'm sure Sal could come up with something better lol.

I'd even be cool with a larger Squeak. G-10, same steel, larger blade.

I like the way you think. :)

I was just saying to myself the other day that I'd love a higher end Urban - unlined CF scales with a great blade steel sounds like a winner to me. I recently have jumped on the Slipit wagon and thoroughly enjoy mixing them in my rotation with my locking folders. There's just something addictive about how they open and close.

However, to the OP, a 3 inch blade is all I personally need to be happy. That's just my own personal preference though. Can't wait for the Native Slipit, but I'm hoping it gets the wire clip.
