G'Day Larry, That mint SC504 <510OT> with the stags locked in combat, I purchased a little while ago might not be as rare as I thought..I just bought another on the Bay #160082182953.This one is not mint however I would love to know when it was made as it is not part of the "Great Outdoors Series" The ground under the left stag upon closer inspection is really F. Giorgianni signature with no date I can discern. This 510OT style knife would have to be the prettiest/ugly knife Schrade ever made in my opinion and just makes you want to hold it. Now I have 2 X 510OT's and 2X scrimshaw SC 504's...I had never seen this knife in the last 5 years of collecting and now 2 have appeared! Now I need the SC504 President series to complete the collection.
Question: I have a theory if I continue to buy everyone that ever comes up can I make them artificially rare???.:jerkit: .and have you been able to find out anything on this knife to date? Hoo Roo.

...G'Day Codger I also bought from the same seller an Imperial Motorman's Tool Kit. Bay #160082172158......did I dream it or did you have a post on similar kit as I cant locate any posts.
Arnold.... I know I'm not to point to any existing Ebay auctions however can I whisper that the same seller has some interesting old Schrade fixed blades...I feel like the late great Red Skelton..."If I dood it, I get a whoopin.....I dood it!!!"" Hoo Roo

Larry,
Don't know if you'd be interested in this or not , but there's a different knife with the same scrim available right now item #110090825621. he's got it as a 500SC,the same as the Katchina knives. Looks like the 127UH.The knife is somewhat used but I thought you'd like a matching set.
Good Luck!
Eric

Thanks Eric, I have asked permission to bid as seller only sells to USA, this is the protocol I always have to follow, email and beg just to have the same rights as you blokes enjoy....hard to be a 10 second sniper! If sellers only knew how much more they would receive if they lifted their sights from around their feet. Thanks for the 'heads up' mate..its an unusual Scrimshaw almost unlike any Mr. Giorgianni was famous for.however thats 3 in existance and there must be many more. Wonder if they were part of a series besides The Great Outdoors? Thanks again and Hoo Roo from Downunder. Larry

Larry,
If you don't hear from him, and if you really want it, let me know and I'll put a bid in for you and send it to you.

Eric

Larry,
Saw your post on another thread, just wanted to let you know he relisted the item.
Eric

Thanks Eric..He couldn't get a bid of $20 so rather tha give me second chance he has put it at 'Buy It Now' $30 or I can wait another 7 days to see the price....I've made a deal with him we are sweltering in over 100 degree heat here at present with record drought havnt seen rain for 12 months and I live in the driest State on the driest Continant on earth....BUT if it SNOWS in the next 7 days here I MAY place a bid otherwise the knife can be placed where the sun don't shine...........Thanks Eric...Hoo Roo

The scrim on the 500SC of the two bucks is from 1981 Outdoors series but the SC504 is still a question. It does give us a timeframe.

......lrv..I luv's ya mate...you should have been a Mountie..if anyone can track it down I'm sure you will...looks like SC504 may have just been a Special order or similar?..now that we know its an established Schrade Schrim
I always chuckle when I see those ads saying you could personalise on the back..and I wonder if any one did..can you imagine "this knife belongs to Hiram" on the back and then you drop it at the crime scene.....or is that my twisted Aussie humour at work again?? Hoo Roo.
