Hi all,

I am out on a search for a good lube. I haven't been lubing my knives, and I would like to start. I have done some research and it looks like tuf glide, militec, and nano oil are big ones out there. I would just like something that keeps the knife lubed/clean, but doesn't collect any lint.

Thanks for helping me out

The Axis lock and folding knives in general don't require any special lubricants since they don't operate under high pressure, high heat, or high speeds so you can use whatever light lubricating oil you have in the house just make sure to apply it sparingly so it doesn't attract dirt and lint.

Don't want lint, don't use oil. Just clean it, gas, alcohol, soap, water, brake cleaner, WD-40. None of those will do any damage.

No matter how little you use, any lube that stays "wet" will collect grunge and gum things up... I would run mine dry... in fact I do, when I get a knife that's been lubed I take it apart, clean all the crap stuck in the lube and the lube off and put it back together. If you must use a lubricant consider a dry lubricant like graphite. Another that I have is a light wax in a carrier (originally designed for mountain bike chains, it seals, and lubes, without being sticky. Once dry its like a candle. clean and dry...
