Lube for "O" Ring on Fisher Bullet Pen?

The cap for my new bullet pen when on sooo smooothly for the first week or two. Then it got sticky. I put a little WD-40 on the rubber "O" ring and the smoothness returned. A week later and the the cap is getting grabby again. What to use? Anyone else have this problem?

Go to radio shack multi lube in a gray tube.

degrade when exposed to petroleum... I'm surprised the WD40 has not eaten it away to nothing... forget multi-lube... first, go to the harware store and get a new o ring the exact same size... then, get your azz to a scuba shop and get silicone lube made specifically for Rubber o rings.

The silicone grease they sell in auto parts stores for spark plug cables works too.
