I recently got a Sypderco Calypso Jr with Micarta handle. This knife has no liners and I was wondering: if it ever needs to be lubed at the pivot, what would I use so as to not attack the micarta
BTW, This is a gem of a knife. Not perfect, but close. And definitely the nicest handling small knife I've ever used.
That thin flat grind blade can really cut!

Agree, Calypso Jr. is one heck of a knife. Regarding lubing, I've lubed my Spydercos, from Zytel handled to Micarta handled, and so far have not seen adverse effects. I've used from Rem-Oil which used petroleum distillate to Tuf-Glide with plain mineral spirits. My bet is that those two are safe, i.e. not enough amount to attack your Micarta.

Tuf-Cloth/Tuf-Glide won't hurt it either.

get some of the stuff called Super Lube..
It's teflon based, approved by the FDA for use in foodprocessing equipment, the spray dries to a dirtresisting film and it will last for bleeding ever...Great stuff, and you can use it for pretty much anything that needs a good lube job...
I used the grease version, to lube the bearings on my Mountain bike..before it got stolen, and in general it would outlast regular greases about two times...
Try it and I think you'll like it...Only damn grease I ever use...
Oh, yeah, one last plus...If you get the spray can you can use it to flush out the pivots on your folders....Just wipe off the excess and you're good to go

Kage is japanese for shadow...I think it is somehow appropriate for a Voidhawk, wouldn't you say?

Yeah, I would say so.
Hey, I never heard. Have you read the last in that series? I'm still working on it. Ya know, I think I like to have one of those "fission" blades, ya know?
