Lubricant for Emerson knife?? Odd chemical reaction?

Hey everyone, I recenty picked up a Emerson cqc7 and cqc15. The 7 was gritty so I took it apart, cleaned it with benchmade blue lube cleaner, then wiped it off and put some militec-1 on both sides of the washers. Then a washer slips off and it's all of a sudden corroded the titanium under the washer and it's a very hard white substance that won't come off without a razorblade. Anyone know what that might have been caused by? And did the blue lube cleaner or the militec-1 cause it? I want to lube my cqc15 but now I'm not sure what to use that won't react with the titanium or harm the nylatron washers. The only other lube I have is tri-flow dry lube from the bike shop. Will that work and be non-harmful? If not I'll take any recommendations.

Thanks

You don't need to lube them at all. Nylatron washers are self lubricating. All you're going to do is get lube on the lock interface, and cause the lock to slip.

Self lubricating in terms of teflon/phosphorbronze/etc washers just means slippery. Lube does not have no purpose.

Don't use acid based lube. If the lube you're using is harming the titanium, you should look into some non toxic lube. Tuff Glide works well and it won't eat away your face, titanium, hands, or pivot.
