Hey all,
I know there are many posts about what you all use to lube the pivot on your folding blades, but i just found this stuff that is really good and was wondering if anyone else had heard of it or used it for anything. It is RZ-50 dry film lubricant. I got it from the Home Depot for 6.00 and like it. I was wondering what your thoughts were on it.

Plagiarizer from their website....
RZ-50 is a PTFE Polymer developed for NASA by DUPONT ®. It contains no oils or silicone. RZ-50 is the perfect DRY FILM LUBRICANT for literally hundreds of applications.
RZ-50 was developed to possess a friction coefficient of .02 and will not attract contaminants, moisture or dirt.
When applied, RZ-50 exhibits a remarkable, ball-bearing like surface that can last for up to 3 full years. It can be applied to metal, plastic or wood and will not stain any surface. - INCLUDING FABRICS!
RZ-50 dries in seconds to a slick, colorless, odorless film that reduces friction, stops squeaks, reduces wear, repels dirt, dust and moisture... and stays where applied longer than any oil or silicone lubricant.

check out some lube called quick release. i was sent some knives that were lubed with it and they were amazingly smooth.

I use S100 white chain-spray. My knife smells like my motor-bike. :D

"with Adhesion enhancer -virtually spatter free

S100 White Chain Spray is practically impossible to throw off, and has excellent penetration properties. Special lubricating additives ensure maximum protection against wear and up to twice the mileage of the chain. Lubrication intervals up to two times longer, and optimum lubricating properties from −30° to +110 °C.

Excellent resistance to washing off (driving through rain, motorcycle washes). Contains PTFE. Protects O/X/Z rings and keeps them supple."

I have looked at using this...good to know it works well. Thanks for the info.

I have used this for a couple of years now...works great when glass-bedding stocks as a release agent.
