Lubricating Zero Tolerance knives.

Having acquired my first ZT knife, an 0456, I was wondering what would be a suitable lubricant for it. I know it has ball bearings, but the blade still turns on a metal pivot post. Metal on metal. Sooner of later, some lubrication will be needed,

Given that the ball bearings are enclosed in plastic, rather than metal, some lubricants may not be compatible with those plastic bearing parts.

I was thinking of a light grease, like Permatex Super Lube. It's a lightweight grease, completely made of silicon; No petroleum products at all. I have an aerosol can of it. It penetrates quite well, before the solvent evaporates.

What say you, oh wise members of BF? Thank you.

I've been using my gun oil, (Slip EWL), on my two ZTs. Works fine.

I like grease for my knives that have bearings in them. Just make sure it's not a gummy grease that will hinder, rather than help the action!
