I use the CRK fluorinated grease on my Sebbie and when I take it apart, there's hardly any between the washers and the blade. It all squishes out around the washers. Is that normal? I'm probably using a lot more than I need, but still, should it be squishing out the sides leaving only a little grease between the washers and the blade? Thanks!

Yes, the ideal amount of lub is just a small amount, the precision tolerances will not allow a thick layer of grease between washers and blade when assembled.

I also use a toothpick and apply lub to the ceramic ball on the locking bar, this helps the smoothness in open/close operation.

Yes this is quite normal. The Phosphed bronzed washers themselves are very slippery and the Teflon rich grease needs only a couple of tiny 'runs' to protect and lube!

As was said the tolerences are so tight, not much is needed. This is good in several ways, but to be brief

1. Little if any blade play
2. No need for lots of fluff attracting gunk!
