I recently finished a folder from Knife Kits. I used the phosphorous bronze washers on the blade pivot.
Should I lubricate them and if so what should I use for lubrication?
Thanks in advance for the replies.

I put a drop of mineral oil on the pivot half for lubrication half for corrosion protection

I use full synthitic gun oil on mine.I never put the knife together without a little oil on it as it could cause galling.

Isn't phosphorous bronze 'oil filled' and selve lubricating?

Generally not. There are bearing grades of bronze that can be had in oil filled sintered bronze, but I've never seen phosphor bronze available oil filled. We use it because it is available in precision gauge sheet, whereas most of the bearing stock is not.

The oil filled is needed for more difficult applications than knife pivots.
