Lubrification

Apples and oranges, really. One is a dry lube one is not. Neither offer acceptable corrosion protection, IMHO. Rust is normally more of a concern, at least that's what I've found.

I prefer www.fp10.com

Militech is an excellent lube – it really slicks up the action of a folding knife; but it is not a good rust preventative.

I haven’t used Tuf-Glide, so I won’t comment.

I've often wondered about high tech lubes but I decided that they weren't necessary. Whenever I clean one of my guns I put a drop or two of gun oil on the multitools and folders and wipe them over with a very slightly oily cloth and that keeps them working nicely and I've never had any rust problems.

Akyara, Militec is an excellent lube, but you have to heat up the metal for it to work properly. If you are looking for a good lube for folding knives, I would recommend Break Free CLP.

i much prefer Militec over Breakfree. CRKT M16s ships with Breakfree as the lube, but after I cleaned out the Breakfree and applied Militec (with heat, mind you), the action is far better. all i do to heat it is use a small oil lamp and hold the pivot area 2-3 inches over the flame for a while. there are plenty of other methods, too. hair dryers, heat guns. hell, i might try using the oven on a low temperature sometime so i don't have to hold it over that flame (though starting at fire is entertaining in its own rite).

another thing with Militec is that you have to repeat the application and heating every short while initially. but you can just make this every few days or what have you.
