Just got this in today from Lucas, small size neck knife, 2 1/2" blade of
CPM 154 steel, nicely done with a kydex neck sheath and chain.

I've all but ended carrying fixed blades, sold off most if not all that I had already
but this one caught my eye a while back and had it on order, almost cancelled
it but it was enroute so I let it keep coming, glad I did, it should be a handy
carry, here are some images of the knife taken today;

The handle has a nice overall curve to it that helps with the grip
while I'm not a big fan of skeletol knives, this one seems to hold well

and as most may remember from the Pet Peeve thread ;) my dislike of
the notch before the edge, Lucas handles that nicely with a very gentle
sweep before the edge, so material will not get hung up as you go to cut

Nicely done and razor sharp, touched her up a little on a few stones :)

Gary,

Thanks for the nice review and pics. :)

Luc is an up and comer for sure!

Looks like some outstanding machining, ergos, and design.

For some reason I thought this knife was a little larger.

The smaller skeletors in necker scale are the most appealing, imho
What is the OAL?

Darn.
Should have gotten in.

Last I heard he had two left, but ya need to be quick ;)

overall length is just about 6 1/8"

Gary,if you can put a leather handle like you did on a Kershaw(I think that is the correct knife)it will be great. Then send it on over to me.Fixed blades do not agree with you :D :D.
Is the blade fit to the sheath pretty good?.

hehe, well, it's small enough with it's 2 1/2" blade and it's a wharncliff that I'm
going to give it a go for a while :)

And I did lace some leather lacing around the last two holes, kind of like a catch
for the pinky to latch onto as you draw it out of the sheath, which holds the
knife very secure!

I added a leather fob with a bead set very close to the end of the knife
so you can hook it with your pinky to help retrieve the knife from the sheath.
there is a wedge of thick leather that 'locks' the bead in place, and I braided
the leather after the bead, which also helps to keep the wedge from sliding out.
The bead is a custom one from Fuzzyedge, he does lovely work!!

What I really want to do, is to get two beads, no holes in them, flatten one side on
each of them, drill and tap like a 4-40 size and get a piece of 4-40 threaded bolt,
cut off a section, screw it into one side, apply some epoxy down in the last hole
and then screw the other bead down onto the knife, so you end up with what
looks like a bead that was press fitted into the handle, that will provide the same
kind of catch for your pinky and also look cool ;)
But, I've no means to get a bead like that, need a small lathe or something to make
that but that's what I'd like to end up doing :)
