Not for good luck. I don't really believe in that either. The only things I have carried for the last 25 years consistently is the p-38 and one of my dog tags on my keychain and in my wallet I carry one of my combat leadership tabs. For what? Beats the hell out of me, just as a reminder I guess.

I used to carry a Japanese 5 Yen piece on my Key Chain. Now I wear a Jade Budah my wife gave me.

when i was waiting tables about 20 years ago, someone left a quarter with a hole drilled toward one edge as part of a tip.

i thought is was kinda cool, and stuck it on my key chain, been there ever since.

i also carry various challenge coins.

im a cop, and used to be an athlete, and both groups tend to be fairly supersticious. i am no exception.

I have no superstitious/supernatural beliefs at all but I do carry a small Case slipjoint somewhere with me almost all the time, unused. The reason is because it was given to me by a good friend who died not long afterwards.

Just a way of keeping his memory alive.

Two old coins that have brought me luck under the liners in my boots and a patch with some words that bring me comfort on the inside of a pocket. Only person you'll ever have met that had a Velcro patch spot on the inside of one of his pockets but it did its job.

I did keep a old coin from 1911 [a item to remind me of my favorite little thing] that I would carry in a pocket, though thats not so much a "lucky charm" so much as a comfort item that I would rub when I was having a bad bout. You can't read the side of it that I rubbed anymore but I still have it and rub it on bad days just to comfort my brain.


I had/have one other lucky item, but thats not one I talk about.

My House Key. When I have it with me, I know that Luck is with me because I didn't Lock myself out of the House again.

Not to be too obvious, but I'd say it's one of my regular edc knives. I know I try always to have one, and I feel less at ease without one.
