So I was looking over the, Your Favorite Chopper? thread by Tyrkon, and I started thinking about my CGFBM, and how I needed to give it a good go around again.

Two days later, I get up, make a pot of coffee, and let the dogs out. And what's this, as I step out onto the deck I see

It's as if the INFI Gods read my mind, one large forked limb and a straggler it took on the way down.

And the better part is it all missed the fence, close, very close.

To the knife cabinet.
This was the first part chopped off, to relieve pressure from the fence.

Then I went to the front and chopped and limbed my way down the branches, and made my two piles.

It took a little over a hour and didn't touch the finish and except for one little itty bitty flat spot on the edge it's untouched.

It really payed off for me to use the lanyard in the talon hole to keep my hand from slipping down the handle, I don't know where I saw it on the forum but thanks, it worked great.

Now thats alot of chopping! Glad you got the limb and glad it missed your fence...that was close.

Thanks for the pics!

Nice choppin' .....

Thanks for the info on the lanyard in the talon hole. Did it make that much of a difference in grip? I just might have to try that sometime.

Good shots...I think I'll have to take the FBM and FFBM out for a spin within the next month.

Nice pics. Looks like you gave the FBM a great workout:thumbup:
