Greetings friends, I am very excited to announce that I have been approached by a gentleman with an exciting vision for EDC fixed blades. Andrew of Lucky Dog Knife Co Lucky Dog Knife Co showed me his idea for a modern fixed blade that pays homage and reverence to traditional designs that have been well loved, carried, and used for many decades, while providing the advantages of more modern materials. I was instantly enamored and wanted to help make his vision a reality. We discussed his project by phone and email a number of times, and I found him to be friendly and down to earth. He's very likeable, and someone easy to root for. I have taken on production of his first run of two blade designs, a Sheephawk and a Spey in CPM 3V. With his professional skill in graphic design, he had no difficulty showing me exactly what he wanted:

Very excited to be working on these! At the time of this post, I still have other orders before these in the queue, but I will be updating this thread periodically with news and progress.

So please join me in welcoming Andrew and Lucky Dog Knife Co Lucky Dog Knife Co to the community and wishing them every good success!

Hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome. I have been on the forums for a few years but have not posted anything until recently. I must say David has been absolutely wonderful to work with. I've been a knife enthusiast for a few years but this is my first venture into making it a business. I knew there were some things I needed to learn and David has helped out tremendously. I am calling the sheep hawk blade the GuardDog and the spey blade the RancherDog as a nod to the stockman and Barlow style knives used by hardworking people in the past.
