Hey I haven't seen him for awhile myself. LD is one of the oldtimers on this board sure have missed his posts hope he is ok. LD LD paging LD....
 
Hey Mike, dunno what happened. I see he posted on KF that he has been banned from here. Dont know why though. I used to talk to LD in the old chat room, way back when. Seems like a nice enough fella though.

Funny thing is he just emailed me a real smartass message.

Well when he figures out the mistake was all his he will have edd on his face. I sent him back a nice sarcastic (all in fun) message as well.

No he is not and never was banned. He simply used the wrong email address

Now since Spark had to help you with your password the very first time you posted, guess what? That means you have had the WRONG email address since day one. Actually I doubt you have ever recieved an email from BFC because of that. Unless you get email at the other address as well.

I would like to apologize to any forum memember who may have taken offense to my tone in my post.

The series of events that led up to this are as I explained. First I get the email from Wayne, not aware that he had already posted a "Banned from BFC" post at KFC. I start to reply to it and while doing so I see the post here. Then I get a phone call telling me he posted at KFC so I go there. All while I am on the phone discussing a legal issue which hopefully will be resolved today involving Microtech As you know Lucky Dog is the moderator of the MT forum at KFC.

His tone in his letter to me was just that, being a smartass. Well I am one too so I simply turned it back around on him. The last sentence was my way of saying (you met your match) and Kobiyashi Maru refers to a Star Trek scene in which the end result of a test is a "No Win Scenerio". The name of the test is Kobiyashi Maru. I knew only a few would get that.

He flat out called me a liar and a BS artist. I will accept the later but not the former. They are not the same. I called him a smartass based on direct evidense at hand which I showed.

So he ASSumed I did something to his profile and without exploring the evidense further or waiting for a response he did what he did.

No big deal.

Now I return you to your regular scheduled programming

For anyone interested in the actual mechanics of what happened here, I'll lay it out for you...

As you know, when you register with BladeForums.com you must provide a valid email address as a security feature. A random password is generated and sent to that email address, which helps prevent identity theft and other security issues. If you change your email address in your profile, the same thing happens - a new, random password is generated for you, and sent to the new address.

Unfortunately, if you enter the wrong email address, you never get your password. Lucky Dog did this when he initially registered, and requested my help so that he could post. I sent his password to him, and requested that he correct his email address in his profile - something he obviously never did.

Now, umpteen months later, after swearing he'd never post here again, he starts screaming that he's been banned, yadda yadda yadda. Instead of having the courtesy to ask what's up, or trying to have one of us help fix the problem he created, he decided to flame us. Such is life - sometimes you learn to expect these things.

Anyhow - sorry about the cross forum brouhaha - hopefully some people will learn to think before they type.

I am hesitant to lock a thread involving the owner of this site, but I think this thing should be Over already.

I posted over at KFC regarding this whole stupid thang. Lucky Dog says he Won't/Can't post here (gee, I refuse to post so I must be banned...that makes sense). I kind of miss his posts these past few months, but if he wants to hang out Over There, and not here, then fine by me.

Starting a bunch a nonense over being banned because He assumed he was banned due to an error on his part, is silly. But the other party made a lot of assumptions too. This thing should be over already. And it really does not concern anyone but Lucky Dog and Mike T. So I think this thread should be closed.

On the other hand, this is a good example of some of the ridiculous Us vs Them mentality that seems to be developing between KFC forum members and BFC forum members. I really hate that nonsense. And I still think this thread should be locked.

But I'm Afraid to do it
