guys, what do you think about this finding? The scales should be made of mammoth ivory. I gave apx. 45 USD for it. It isn't too much, isn't it?

Best regards,
Herbert

Herbert,
That may be one of the 532's with mastdon that Buck did a few years back. We started out doing them for Bass Pro but am pretty sure those had mirror polished blades. We ended up with some over runs though and they had satin finished blades.
Cant tell for sure if it is one we did or if someone else did the handle work. If we did it, that price is a steal for sure.
Hope this helps,

Joe, thank you very much for your Answer. If You click on the lower picture you can see the number on the Blade. It is 531 with an 90ies x.

Best regards,
Herbert

Chicken,

I got her towel for 10 Minutes and no more and I the pic was ready in the last second. Puh now she got it in her room and the next time I get it only for a good goody. I think i'll buy one for myself. :D :D :jerkit:

Best Regards,
Herbert

That sounds like an interesting tale...especially with the writeups these knives are getting...

...I actually like that 532 lots more than the 531...JMHO...

Well then, I thought to give you the 531 but when you don't like it ... :grumpy: :grumpy: :foot: :D :D :D

Chicken,
it looks pretty your 532. It wold give a good partner to my 531. :D :)

By the way: what's the difference between the 531 and the 532 except the slightly other form?

Best regards,
Herbert

...LOL...I'm known for stuff like :foot: Herbert...LMAO...The difference between the 531 and 532 is actually very small. The 531 is a little bit longer than the 532 and the blade profile is slightly different due to the extra length. Other than that they are very similar. The materials used were the same on both. Both of them are wonderful knives Herbert. Have I taken the "foot" outa my mouth far enough yet??...LOL...:D :D :p

Thanks for the Info. That knife looks pretty too. But the Price? It might be possible to get ten other Buck knives for the same, and that I'll try to do.

:D
I know - I hope you'll not be cross with me because of the chicken, Cicken, finally the bird itself is more than its footprint:D ;) :) [/size]

Nah! :D When I registered here, I was thinking about an old British motorcycle I bought long ago...it had been stored in a chicken coop for many years...and it was covered with...Huhnabdrücke... :barf:
