I went to a flea market in New Jersey yesterday and found these two old 110's, a two dot and the other I think is 1988. Both are in pretty good condition (I have cleaned them up a bit) especially the two dot. I paid $20 for each of them.

Great find sawyer, I do like my two dot 110's, and 112's. Even if 110 Dave thinks the 112 is a girly knife.:rolleyes::D:D;) HL

Thanks, I was pretty chuffed with the find :) Though the 1988 one has a bit of blade play the two dot locks up solid.

Where is the picture of the sledge hammer for the 1988 one? Both look like they can be cleaned up. I tried the vise method on three knives and fixed two.

Sawyer, You got a bonus with the 1988 one ten as the sheath you got with it is older . Not the correct sheath . Nice knives . At a show here those knives would be priced at
30$ and they wouldn't deal . Swap meets or pawn shop maybe priced more in the area you got it for . DM

I've just given the '88's sheath a closer look and it doesn't say 110 on the back it says 317, so I guess it's for a completely different knife altogether.

NICE score guy! I look in the pawn shops in El Paso, and the rural flea markets in my little area of NM.Haven't found a Buck knife yet.

Get another 110 sheath and put up the 317 sheath . That sheath goes to a twin bladed slip lock model thats been long since discontinued . Thats why they are scarce . DM

oh i like the 112 jest fine as it is a wonderful knife!
and it was designed for the US NAVY !!!
{{ from which i am retired :cool:}}
the design with the hook is AB FAB! and functionally safe!
truly i wish the 110 had that safety hook!!!:D
it was jest too small for my hand when i was working construction
and i say a 'girly' knife as most ladys that
carry a lock back seem to prefer it.;)

So the two-dot 110, in general, was made between 1974 and 1980, has 440C blade material, the edges of the handle are squared and ... (your comments placed here).

Way to go Sawyer! Thank you kindly for the terrific photos. Your post put the spurs to me so I went thru the shoe box of honor and found my Buck from the good gone days. Gonna have to get the camera out.

When the two dots were made I was just a young lad growing up in England. The first knife I ever bought myself was a cheap chinese Buck copy when I was a teenager in the eighties. When I moved to the States two years ago my wife bought me a Buck and rekindled my addiction to knives. Since then I've been through Benchmades and Spydercos and others but recently it's been Bucks, I've even sold off most of my others to buy more Bucks. I think a lot of that (apart from great designs) is down to the fact that the Bucks remind of that time when I first found my love of sharp things :)
