So I got my BK7 in today and when I opened it, there was a Remora stuffed in the sheath! I am pumped! Now waiting on my micarta handles so I can cover her with desert tan CARC (the covering on Humvees) and turn her into my desert queen. Pictures will follow!

On another note, actually used my BK2 today, had to remove a piece of 2X4 that was in the way, and we had no axe, saw or anything else to work with other than my BK2 and a hammer. That 2x4 never had a chance. Unfortunately, my BK2 is now a beater because I had no other choice. Only a little dinged on the butt, but it stood the test. Luckily these knives are so affordable so I can get another when I get home!

It was awesome. The guy I was working with said, "dude, theres no way, lets just go try to find a saw or something." But, that would have drug the task out another day or so. Lol, he had no faith, I however knew it would be no problem, i just didnt want to take a hammer to it. Oh well, i like it a little dinged up.

Excellent can't wait to see some pics...

Unfortunately I had no camera, plus we were working, no chance to take pics. but the job only took less than 10 minutes. I'll take some after shots for you guys. I used a metal mallet and did not take it easy at all. Hence getting thru the 2x4 in less than 10 minutes! lol.

Keep using it man. Beat the piss out of it, buy another one and gift that one to your kid someday. someone will love it. Besides it's not like your gonna hurt it. Once you get past that new pristine barrier you'll push it to the limits or at least you won't be afraid to push it a little.

I'm pretty sure today popped my cherry. I've never been one to abuse knives or tools... but now I know the BK2 can handle it!

Wait, why do you say 'actually used it'? They are meant to be used. Unless I am just reading into it a little too much.

Yes, but i meant hard use, not just whittling or bushcraft.

BTW, in regards to your name... i lost.

Yeah, want some aftermath shots here. Usually, I cringe when I hear Becker and hammer in the same sentence. I'm intrigued.

Just curious........why did you have to use a hammer....??

Also if I may ask where you got your BK7 from that still comes with Remora?

I had to us the hammer because there was no room to swing, and I had nothing else. No room to baton, only room enough to use it like a chisel. I ordered my BK7 from amazon.

sounds like you need a BK3 hard :) good job man!

Lol, I have been officially cut off for now. My wife and i decided I am good on knives for a while... and by my wife and I... I mean my wife.

Also, when I say hammer, I mean a 5 pound mini sledge...

;) When are you married guys gonna learn? Let your better half get some of whatever she likes-purses,shoes, ect. Then occasionally buy a nice little knife for her. That will let her know you are thinking of her. Get different styles, then she may surprise you & say "i like this one better because of ********". She will stay interested & unknowingly learn differences & what she likes & don't like. My wife has a closet full of shoes & purses & i'm good with that. Her first knife was a BK11. She likes it but she has a few issues with it. Next one i will try to address those issues for her. She was actually looking WITH me the other day, while i was looking at knives online. Never thought i'd see that happen. One of my friends is married to a knife woman, thats just pure awesomeness. :D

I would have tried to tape some hard plastic to the hammer, as to not be contacting steel with steel. Maybe I am too easy on my knives, but I wouldn't want the pommel to be jagged or possibly cutting into my side or arm while on the belt.

Looking forward to the pics anyway.
