LUDT blade play

Is it normal for a LUDT to have a little side to side blade play?

Mine does as well and I wonder the same. I was thinking of checking with Microtech to get mine fixed.

Most if not all Autos have a little side to side, as long as it's not up and down you're good. My SOCOM Elite has a little side to side but it's only noticeable if I grab the blade and check. I never would've noticed during use.

Put my SOCOM through lots of HVAC work and never had a problem and the blade always felt rock solid during use.

Mine has it too, very small. Probably if you disassemble knife, and polish scales on sandpaper in places where they get together, you will be able to tighteen screw a little more.

Agree with this comment. I don’t have a LUDT but I have several auto’s from other brands and they all have a little.
