Just curious, the Lum chinese knife is the first one in a while I like. They pretty much just got shipped and I'm already seeing them in the individual fosale forum.

Do people not like them?

Are they just knife speculators and this happens to all new models?

What was the price to the spyderco collectors club?

TIA,
DaveH

The ones I've seen have all been collector pieces. Not every spydie collector keeps them all, I guess.

Which seems to reinforce the idea that at least some, while on the "collectors list", aren't really collectors, but speculators.

That's OK I suppose.

You won't be seeing #68 on the For Sale forum. I think that the LCF is the best built, coolest looking, everyday carry Spyder of 2000.

I'm keepin my # 464 and looking for another.
I have had several Spydies that I like but never one that seems to work for me the way this one does.I wear a suit every day so I need a thin no print knife with a good size blade and super sharp. I carry mine in my waist band under the belt on my left side for a right hand cross draw. It lies flat without discomfort, and I repositioned the clip to the tail of the knife so it comes out smooth and in the right position. I noticed one of my clip screws has a thicker head than the rest so with it on the end of the clip it makes it easier to get a grip on the knife to get it out from under the belt. I've always carried a Spyderco, but this one works for me the best so far.Next closest would be the Calyspo lite weight. That one is also a great everyday carry. I would like to see it made in the Maroon color of one of the first prototypes that we saw last year.

I bought one (plain edge) from a gentleman off the for sale forum. The price was considerably below MSRP. I don't know why he sold it, didn't ask. If he was in need of $$ I would just let that be his private business...
The knife is wonderful...big flat ground blade, premium steel...so damn sharp its shadow will cut ya. My small Sebenza has gone out of my pocket, and the Lum Chinese has gone in...Pretty high praise in this knifeknut's book.
