We had some huge gum trees cut down around our place today. Amazing to watch. Here's some pics and a video. The trees in the video are about 120ft tall. We're going to have firewood for the next 20 years!! :D

Be sure to go full screen and turn on HD...

A little butcher bird flew down to check out what was going on...

I noticed something odd on the roof of my house. Upon closer inspection it turned out to be a python of some sort. He lives in the roof.

Nice. Guess they're a little big even for the MOAB, huh? ;) :D:D
Cool pix and video! :)

Now THAT is a load of firewood!!!!!!

I agree Bobber, the stump is so big it makes the MOAB look like a "small" knife!

Great pics and vids as always Rob. Thanks for sharing. Can't emagine how many creepy crawlers got displaced after all that :D.

Love that MOAB, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of handle material is that. Looks like smoothed black canvas but it's almost multicolored lookin'

Surprised to see that guy in the yellow shirt standing in a bad place, right where the trunk could hit him if it kicks back.

The footage shot it from my back deck which is quite high above the action. It's a bit deceiving but the tree fell down quite a steep slope. There was no way it would have kicked back up the hill.

You are right! It's smooth black canvas. It's just darker in spots from the oils in my skin.

Hey Rob, thanks for posting even more evidence that not all artists are tree-huggin' oddball types. :)
