Hello everyone. I just received this watch the other day and it is very nice. I think it's part of their new line up. It has a sapphire crystal and the pc/ carbon reinforced case. My dilemma is that I have read nothing but horror stories about Luminox Cust service. I would hate to keep it and have something go wrong with it an not have the manufacturers support. Any input would help me. Thanks.

The only watch i currently own is a luminox and i have never had any problems with the watch or the company whatsoever. I got the watch from my uncle who uses a luminox as his sports/gym watch. The guy knows watches like no-ones business, he sports ultra high end watches (stuff that makes rolex look dumpy). he only allows himself 4 watches at a time and trades watches with other people and has a real passion for them, the way many on this forum feel about knives how we want them all but just cant afford it. the point im making here is that he is a very discriminating consumer when it comes to watches and if its good enough for him, then i think its probably good enough for anyone that isnt rich.

You have a good point here. The watch I received is absolutely awesome. It just seems that there is more negative than positive when it comes to some of their models. I will keep this one and enjoy it. Thanks

I've had a Luminox for about 12 yrs now. Runs like a top, I'd buy another one.

It's everything I want in a watch. Blue tritium, sapphire crystal, 45mm face, and silicone band. I guess it's a keeper.

Are the silicone bands more durable than the regular rubber bands like on a G Shock?.

Actually they are. I have a g-shock riseman as well and the band on my luminox is just as wide and same thickness and softer feeling if that makes any sense. I think this is a solid piece now that I've been wearing it non stop.

Well, you have it, so I would probably keep it if it were me.

My one and only Luminox arrived looking nothing like what a $350 MSRP watch should look like -- inferior to much cheaper Casios in build quality. I paid about $250. The second hand fell off when it fell from my beside table to a carpeted floor. I didn't get it fixed through Luminox CS, so I can't comment. (The tritium was great, though.)

I have an automatic Traser with tritium in a steel case that I like much better, although I have read rumors that Traser and Luminox are the same company.

Yes I think they are even manufactured in the same building if everything I've read is correct. I guess this luminox I purchased was the first new one in a new series called Recon series. The model I received is the point man. They have 2 more coming out but I don't know eta. Msrp for this one is 415.00 I'm assuming because of the sapphire crystal, but I only paid 280 shipped. It's solidly built as far as pc/carbon cases go. I was looking at an older blackout series and it just had a cheap feel to it. There's something different about this one.
