Need some opinions from owners of the Luminox and Swiss Army watches. Do the SAK watches illuminate good enough for night time viewing, and the same question for the Luminox? And can you compare the SAK and Luminox illumination capabilities to each other or by themselves? Thanks, Big D1

I find the darker it is the more the tracers stand out. In semi-darkness it is easier to read my Luminox watches if I shade them to total darkness.

Maybe you should come out into the light!!!!!
or do you prefer the darkness?..... mr. phantom :p

The illumination feature sounds important to you. Therefore, you should refrain from getting a Victorinox. I just got one, and I like it a lot. But the illumination thing is weak. You can still read it at night, but not very easily. They have a new line of watches out, however, which feature tritium vials.

Swiss Army watches require an outside light source in order to luminate brightly, whereas the Luminox or Traser watches have tritium vials which continuously glow without any outside source. U.S. Military watches (Marathon, Cammenga) also have tritium lighing and glow brighter than the S.A. watches.
