Anybody own one of these? I'm thinking of getting one. How bright are the dials??? I can't seem to find much in the way of reviews for them.

Thanks

They are as bright as you would want them to be.

they are "ok" if ya can get a deal on one, imho they arent as rugged as advertised but what is i guess, for the $$ seiko is better imho.

I wear the "army field watch" style of luminox. Nice big face, thin, and doesn't have "navy seal" or "F-117" written on it which is not a good idea in some parts of the world. The tritium vials are plenty bright in the dark but not too bright which IMHO the indiglo watches are. The only time I have trouble reading the dial at a glance is at dusk when it's too dark to see the hands and not dark enough for the tritium to shine bright. Still, it's the watch on my wrist right now and perfect for nights in the city.

I have been wearing a Luminox "NAvy Seals" watch and I love it. I don't collect watches, but I've owned a variety and this is my favorite by a longshot. This sounds stupid but I like to see the trasers glowing in red light. First noticed it in my darkroom and it was cool! Anyway, I got mine in trade for a knife, so I was happy with the deal.

Checked them out, wasn't impressed. However, you can't go wrong with a Seiko 007 or a Citizen SkyHawk. Both watches are very legible in the dark the the seiko having the advantage, though neither is self-powered lumination. I have both and both are superb, never have to buy batteries for either since the seiko is a self-winder and the Citizen a solar quartz. BTW I prefer the seiko overall but wear the Citizen much more bc I don't have to worry about the watch winding down if I take it off for a couple of days (I don't wear a watch if I'm just around the house so the Seiko can wind down and have to be reset). Not to mention I do like the 3 alarms, countdown timer, stopwatch, and world time capabilities of the Citizen, and being a quartz it's more accurate (in fact incredibly accurate). Though I rant about the Citizen, I do have a thing for mechanical dive watches, get a Rolex Submariner if you truly want the best.
