A lunar eclipse is always worth seeing.

Check out the chart at bottom of this article to see if you can check it out.

With the cold front/tornado front that just passed, should be a lot of clear skies.

New England and eastern Canada can see the whole thing, central US most.

I'm going to the beach to watch as it will rise at totality where I'm at.

Weather allowing, I'm there. It will already be in shadow but visible low in the sky before sunset here.

Thank you for the heads-up. Our weather news here has been so focused on the (truly minor) flooding that no word was passed. (They are the folks who usually mention such events on TV.)

I think I will JUST get to see it.

Interesting that the article talks about special equipment to watch a solar eclipse. As a kid, I watched one with a pinhole camera made out of a carboard box. There were pictures in the newspapers of kids with these boxes over their heads and backs to the "event." Not so special, unless you count the piece of typing paper glued to the viewing surface so as to allow for a better image than the cardboard (the "Special Deluxe Model").

Gorgeous....

Ok.

C'mon, sunset.

Thank you Ad...nice to see it.

Wish I were there sitting on the dock with you.

Nasty, I haven't forgotten I owe you a beer. :)

A lot of you midwesterners come down to our part of the Gulf. Harley on down this summer.

Lovely! Pity I'm on the other side of the world (almost literally, in this case).

Thanks for taking the pictures, Ad!
