Lunar eclipse

Yeah saw most of it but then some heavy humidity rolled in and kind off screwed things up then the moon feel behind someones house so I couldn't see it anymore not tho mention light pollution screwed with my telescope so wasn't that great for me and I'm on the east coast so when it was just about to be at it's best the sun started to come out

I had a real nice view here in Louisville Ky, really cool.

On 21st July 2000 I managed a prize seat at a teaching mission on the Zambezi, next to the NASA temp site on the Escarpment near Centinery. I was, in those days, more interested in playing with guns. My Father inlaw had driven up with his Mead astronomy scopes with solar filters and tracking devices. Wow on a cloudless day it was stunning moon cresents in the shadows, the diamond ring. I was very glad that wifey had dragged me out of bed to drive 200 miles when there was no fuel available in Zimbabwe.

Needless to say the huge NASA scopes looked like v-expensive kettle drums. They were looking for low but high speed orbiting objects. We didn't need a scope for that, just a swatter.

No thousand-dollar DSLRs here, folks!

Great view out here in Utah. Instead of pictures I set up a spotting scope and enjoyed an amazing view. Sucks having to work after getting up at 3AM.

pretty amazing.
I can see why primitive cultures thought a giant dragon was eating the moon or some such belief.

Yeah went out to see it this morning, it was pretty cool. I didnt stay for the whole thing as I was getting tired.
