The NC Knife Knuts met at Bubba's Barbeque for lunch during the Charlotte Gun and Knife Show yesterday. Here are a few pictures of the folks and the steel.

Hey, it looks like you all had fun. Nice table settings they have at that Barbeque joint! I'd definitely swipe the silverware at that place.

I wonder why all the other customers are sitting at the other end of the room?

Thanks for the pictures,

I don't know about you guys but if a bunch of us went to a "Q" joint out here in Oakland,Ca
and started pulling out the amount of "Hardware" you have displayed, there would probably be a riot.
Looks like you were having a good time.

We felt like dorks when we ate at Damon's after the Badger show, too, but it was fun. The waiters and waitresses weren't overly firendly to us, which seems weird if they were afraid of losing a limb or something!

I had brought my Aki SBM machete, too, since I thought it is an interesting piece. Once Brian Turner busted out his enormous recurved Madpoet camp knife, I decided the coast was clear for the machete. Oh well, we were being relatively quiet at least!

Sorry; unrelated (somewhat) topic. I had outfitted my daughter, who worked at the time in a 'cube farm' with a few folders. I had admonished her to open and close it a lot, to get the action into muscle memory. She did this, all right, but during her daily lunchtime poker game with the guys!

So, I had to outfit the guys with folders also, since I thought her folder gave her an unfair advantage in the poker game.

A few weeks later, her boss comes out of his office, and says, 'Does anyone have a knife?' Ann, and everyone around her, 'prarie dogs' (stands up in their cubicle), and they all flick their folders in plain sight. The boss looks at all the steel, blanches, says, 'Never mind,' and goes back to his office. Ann says they laughed for several minutes. Walt

Imagine my confusion. When I read "Lunch at Bubba's" I thought you meant.........

One of the other restaraunt patrons walked by,looked at our table and said"you guys are sick!" He said it with a smile one his face and we thanked him for stating the obvious. The owner of Bubba`s is cool about us and even comes by to admire our steel. This was a best-ever meeting in terms of the quality of the blades. We have so much fun doing this that it should be illegal, immoral or taxed! This is just a warm-up for the Blade show in June.

~Senator~ Too cool, you must have need a second chair to set the knives on? Impressive display, I'll have to check on your web page and see what's new there!

Did Dexter have his Vest loaded up as usual?

G2 - yup, the vest was all loaded up as usual! Not to mention, I had the Campanion on the belt, the CQB-1 IWB, Model 4 also IWB, and my Commander and MUDT clipped to the pockets. It was all I could do to keep my britches from hitting the floor

Whoa!!! Those knives I listed were NOT all mine. I just tried to list some of the knives that were on the table. I only WISH they were all mine.

Oh yeah - throw some Corby autos in the mix as well.
