Got the '15 catalog in the mail today and didn't see a US flag on the Lux page, it's not on their website for the Lux now either.
Weren't they made in the US at first?
Price seems to have come down IIRC and they are listed as "new".

So were they US made to begin with and are now offshore?

I tried to like one when they came out but never warmed up to them. Curious about the new one but even less likely to buy now.

They were a USA made knife, hope they didn't go offshore. I thought Buck said just the opposite that they were trying to bring more production back. It is tuff to compete in today's market when people are driven strictly by price and not quality etc.

The LUX 014, 015, & 016 were new in the 2011 catalog and present thru 2014. Made in USA. The 2015 catalog shows the LUX with slightly changed cosmetics as the model 816 and now imported. This is the first Buck model I can think of that was switched from USA to import production. The model number was changed but the name should have been changed also too avoid confusion.

That's a bummer. I love my Lux and carry it daily. I was going to pick up a new one but will just look for the older "pro" model now. Thanks for the heads up. I completely missed that in the catalog.

Time today study economics gents

What?!?!?! Did spell check get you or did you mean to be condescending?

As stated this seems to be the first time Buck has done this, they have been bringing more back to the US than sending overseas.
