Lynx????

I talked to Tim recently...about my prototype and (I hope I'm not saying too much...don't kill me Tim) the name is "Ocelot".

I'm sure the release date is completely unknown because they don't even have any tooling, but they have been talking about it. Tim has recently gone through a move of his shop to provide more space and has been preoccupied with that.

I know I speak for a lot of folks when I say "I can't wait"...sadly we will have to for awhile.

Oh yes!!! I need one to go with my prototype.
It's a knife that begs to be used. BUT #3 will stay in the case.
 
Noooooo! I dont want to hear that they are not going to be available soon. I want one now, I believe I stated my case best in the last post about the "lynx". I said "Dont worry about a name, give it a number, and get them out to the stores ASAP" or something to that effect. I want one, no, thats not right, I need one. Perhaps someone can enlighten me on how to get a prototype?

Actually I have a great idea, start up production on Monday, and make it the newest forum knife from Spyderco.

There were ten proto's made. Tim sold some. I know of two or three people on the forum that have one. I was lucky enough to be one of them.
I can say the price was more than a production will be but I don't think I made a bad investment. The production knives will not be here soon enough for me.

Thanks. I really, really, really like this knife. I know that production stuff (cutters, tooling, CAD/CNC) costs a LOT!! It's getting hard to wait. With the Ocelot, Temperence Jr, Blue Lum, Meerkat, PE Ladybug all in the works you are keeping lots of us on the edge of our seats. Most of us have money burning a hole in our pockets, as Dad used to say, waiting.
I've got the Meerkat now and found out that I need, OK want, more of them. Especially in the "cricket" style blade and C O L O R S !!! I guess that I'll try to get one of each variation of the Meerkat and the Ocelot.
