The Hike was about a 5 mile round trip through some moderate to difficult terrain.
We saw a bobcat on the road to the trailhead, but it was too fast to get a picture.

We had Mudman from our last West Coast Survival Class and Julia from our first class (with Sister Nicole).

What a great day out!

Lotsa blue skies, nice terrain to play in, friends and got to play with knives - sounds pretty close to perfect!

Thanks for sharing your day!

Awesome pics, looks like a great time. I haven't been to that area in many years but I love all that Angeles NF has to offer, especially all the falls.

sweet... my old stomping grounds... hey do they still have that crazy shooting range over there?? people were all kinds of crazy...

there was a boy there years back was fishing the creek at dark and found a nest of worms, kept getting bit everytime he'd grab one to bait his hook....

turned out baby rattlesnakes, the boy died...

Wow. I hope that story isn't true, but if it is... That's one of those "here's your sign" stories.

OT, beautiful pictures as always and I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who posts threads like this to take us along for the ride. I really appreciate it.

Side note; Was not aware ladybugs were edible. :)

Great pics, sorry I could not make it. I swear one of these days I won't be at work when you go out and I'll come along! This is the third get together I have had miss because of work!

Myself and a friend did that hike on Labor Day. Sure looks like there is more color know but less leaves.

Thanks for sharing the trip Ruben; it really brightens up a dreary day here in Afghanistan…thanks brother!
