I didn’t want to tell the guys, but as I woke up to put some more wood on the fire, I saw this character.

LOL, excellent post man.... that tree is hot !!!!

man I haven't seen a potato bug in years those things still freak me out... don't know why, guess its from being tormented as a child with them... :)

I knew everything could be done with a glorified butter knife and you just proved it:D

Nice post Bearthedog. Do you have a source for those parangs that can be ordered and delivered in the states?

Must have been a nice trip! The pics are great. Thanks for sharing this.

Kind regards

Great post, I'm assuming this is the Lytle creek located off the 15. I have shot there many times and never realized it had such great trails. I will for sure get out there. Are the trails easy to find? Thanks...

Awesome pictures Bear. Love those colours and am jealous of them. Green is just starting to sprout these parts but still underwhelming. Looks like you guys had a swell time.

I think the little Old Hickory paring knives are great blades. I just wish I was more talented at leather making, a nice sheath is what it really needs

Great stuff buddy, there is just something I like about those Laser Strikes !

Somehow I missed the booby tree the first time through. Now I'm really glad I looked at the pics again :D

That little knife is super sharp and thin. It does what I want a small knife in a camp to do, carve, whittle, and serve as a kitchen/craft knife. I got a Hawk to do all the brute work.

Yes,
Outdoor Dynamics is the only place you can get them that I know of. I got them there when I was in Malaysia.

It is the same place. Do you live near there?

Your threads are like mini vacations, awesome pics as usual.

Glad to have you along the trip in that case.

A little leather would make this knife even cooler.

Hey one of those days I got to join you guys on one of the trips.

You are always welcome my friend!

THE Dude man...

:DThe Big Lebowski. For some reason that pick just reminded me of him.

THE Dude!

I have a stack of Old Hickorys that I can get wild sharp but they don't stay that way. I guess that is why I have a stack. They butcher deer alright.

Is the Leprechaun hitting a bong?

great post as always sir. I love the old hickory knives. and whoever said it above I agree, that tree is smoking hot lol.
