I was fortunate enough to recently have the privileged of baby sitting these beauties. Unfortunately they have to go tomorrow so I figured I would take some pics to remember the good times. (M-1 Springfield national match, M-1 International Harvester, Krag-Jourgenson)

I don't think we're really enjoying them per se. We're actually attempting to live vicariously through your good fortune.

Well fortune did smile upon me. For my selflessness in enduring the arduous task of babysitting these beauties I was gifted a Colt Combat Commander. I will post pics of it as well.

I wanted a Garand since before I went in the army. I use to see them and the Krags come through the store with some regularity (1973 - 77) Always thought that the Krag was interesting but never really wanted one, though I would certianly be interested in one now. Would still love to get a Garand. Always wanted an M-14 also. Stupid army only had M-16s when I was in. :grumpy: At least they still had real handguns though. Still had the .45 when I was in, '77 to 80. That I did eventually get. A Colt Gold cup national match. Lucky guy finding all those gems. And a Colt commander.
