How does the M43 compare with the Chiruwa Angkhola?

My CAK (chiurwa) is. A 14.5 inch one and is very handy , my 2 cents is that if you want an axe like implement with a large cutting area and sweet spot get the m43 also been known to power through wood for kindling. I know im not the only one. If you wanted only one i would go with a CAK 1st. But i would go with something in the 16 - 18 inch range and in the 27 oz range as the cak is lighter. swinging the m43 is heavy after a fashion especially right now for me as the hand grip is a little on the large size for me "out of the box" ;) which lends to a slightly tighter gripping action of my hand which fatigues the muscles trying to hang on. That said once i file down the grips and make it fit me i will most likely rely very heavily on it.

The surprise for me is the KLVUK it came razor sharp and even with a traditional rat tail tang bit into those spruce and was quicker yet no signs of handle loosening and was less fatiguing so i would highly recommend making sure everyone has at least 1 or 2 of them.

Hope that helps

It sure does! Appreciate your input Red Eagle. Which is why my request to compare the two.

Update: just bought a better scale, my 16.5" CAK is 32.5 ounces.

It sure does! Appreciate your input Red Eagle. I do have a 20" 5 Chirra from an HI competitor but it does tire me out at 45 Oz. after just half an hour or so. Which is why my request to compare the two. From experience and my personal capabilities (read: strength), a 27 Oz. (?) CAK should be in my comfort zone for the routine yardwork I need to handle. Thanks again.

Yup i would say go with the cak 1st, at a 27 oz and 16.5 -18 inch i have a few khuks in that weight range and size and for me they are perfect for working.
