M-43 vs Bamboo

Just moved into a new house in the Historic District of Greensboro, NC. One of the rules of this particular little neighborhood is that I must keep the bamboo in the yard under control, which the previous tenant did not do. I assured the landlady that I had the perfect instrument for such endeavors, my HI M-43. I knew it would do well on the larger stuff, but I was pleasantly surprised at how such a heavy knife dealt with the much lighter and more flexible young bamboo. In just one day, I had the jungle mostly tamed. This really is an amazing tool.

Yep, you gotta love them zombie slayers!

I didn't know you moved down here, It sure would be nice to meet you sometime. :D

You're a residential burglar cruising the neighborhood to case out your next heist... you see this in the yard... you drive right on by....

Sam you look to be having way too much fun doing what others would think of as hard work! :p

Sure looks like your have a mean swing and slice action going on as shown in the third photo.

Awesome pics! I got to chop down a tree w/ my new CAK this weekend. Defiitely makes doing the "chores" more fun.

I think we may have found the missing link hahaha

I envy the beard man, i work in a sour oilfield where beards are a no-no, but if i didn't, well a man can dream can't he?

Gotta love The khukuri, my wife bought me one and i love it.

Hey CRR looks like too much fun. The edge on the M-43's is a nice thin shearing edge and it does indeed perform exceptionaly. Now I'm gonna have to go chop somethin.

Here's the real missing link pic, Sharp Newbie. A friend took this grainy image with a cellular device a couple years ago as the creature emerged from the river after a refreshing swim. Note the similarities.

Great review and pictures, thank you

I think you picked that house with the bamboo just so you could swing that khukri and scare the neighbors. :D

Good job for an M-43.

Hey, I'm in Kernersville. Not too far away from you.

What a chance to see the Ferguson working his magic on the grinder, sanding belt and polishing wheel!!! Maybe a chance to see some classic HI items and many ethnographic pieces as well? ;)

I would put a visit high on the agenda once you settle in CRR. :D
