M 9 Bayonett info.

Well crap to be honest. Military G.I. knives are all crap get a Ka-Bar the older type is my favourite but any will serve you batter than m-9.

P.S. m-7 is batter at least you can use as a bayonet.

I'm not sure, but I think there are a few M9s from different manufacturers, if I am not mistaken. Anyway, the only experience I have had is Buck M9. And I think it ain't no survival knife. Can't hold the edge at all. However though, and apparently very resistant to corrorsion, donno haven't eperimented but 425M should be resistant.
Considering that it's a bayonet, I guess primary destination would be stagging, probing, sticking etc... I guess it wouldn't hurt to make it out of better steel though :)

Another M9 I've seen was made by Duane Dwyer of Strider Knives, a custom blade, made of Bg-42. Now that'd fit the bill for sure :D
Here's a bunch, second msg :D

After carrying one on 2 deployments and many FTX's, my opinion is...BIG FARGIN' PIECE OF SHEEEEEEEEEIT...:barf:

I would've given my left nut to have had a D-9 during Joint Endeavor...
