Maybe someone can help me here. I've recently accquired a Buck M-9 bayonet that has never been issued but has some ugly wear marks from being pulled in/out of the sheath. Is there anything I can do to get them off?

It depends on the severity of the marks, but I've had pretty good results using a stiff toothbrush and regular household oil.

One thing to keep in mind before you go to too much trouble is that the sheath was desinged to hold on to the blade. Any marks you take out will return after a few times.
Beyond that useless pieces of advice, i am not sure of anything that will get the marks out.
