Pretty hard to carry a knife without a sheath, and I finally got around to making a sheath for the Monster of Bushwhack that Tad Lynch made to my design some years ago. Nothin fancy, but some of you might find it interesting.

There is a magnet sewn in just behind the belt loop that helps direct the knife into the sheath. Tried to mold a little pattern in, kind of a windswept sky over a coastal forest type thing.

You did a fine job.....nice job on the wet-molding and decorative touches on some heavy leather. :)

I like it. Looks like good solid work. Nice stitching and I think the subtlety of the carving adds to the whole look of the sheath in a positive way.

I really appreciate your complimentary words, my friends...you're far too kind! And yes, I'll admit, I posted this as bait for some compliments- I'm not too proud to deny that my ego needs a boost from time to time, and you can always count on kindness in this forum :)

It's somewhat frustrating to have so little extra time to practice these crafts, and it's evident that I have a long way to go before the work that I do achieves the results I set out to accomplish.

Trying out ideas and techniques is something that turns my crank, but when each project takes such a long time, sometimes I second guess my plan midway and the end product turns out to be pretty mediocre. That being said, I'm relatively pleased with the outcome here, even though there are some glaring examples of shoddy workmanship :)

Ultimately, the best part about this project is the fact that I can now carry M.O.B into the field, and with trail building season just around the corner, I'm excited to find out what Tad's knife is capable of.
