M.O.D mk1 CQC issues!! Help!!

picked up a mint mk1 and I'm having issues with the lock plunger assembly. Its a manual open but upon closing past detent it wont manually open with thumb stud, only releases when button is depressed. anbody out there know whats up with these? Know of ant M.O.D experts that can help?? Thanks in advance
 
The thumbstuds on the Dieter are a bit misleading- they are blade stops, not functional thumbstuds. If you want to open quickly, you'l have to depress the button-lock, and do a light flip with your wrist, to swing the blade out.

There I go, shootin' my mouth off. I had the auto CQ, and made an ASS-U-mption. It appears that the studs do function. Unless that means that there is only a light divot-cut in the blade, for the closed position, I'm not sure how that engages.

From what you describe, either something is engaging the button too much in the closed position, or the lock button has more spring tension than needed...?
