I was thinking of purchasing the Trident as an everyday user. The only problem I have heard about this particular knife is that the clip comes loose due to the spline drive screws. Which combination would be best for everyday use, plain, partially serrated, black coated, or not coated?
I would appreciate any additional information on this knife.
Thank You for your time.

Fortunately,Tatsu, I don't have to own a knife to have an opinion on it.

I'm not a fan of partially serrated blades. The larger the blade the more usefull they are, but in general I prefer plain or serrated, not both. As for coated blades, unless you are working in extreme conditions or just have plans to totally neglect your blade, it probably isn't necessary. The coatings tend to scratch also, not an issue in a user, but not a look that I like. I'm sure there will be people who will disagree with me, so the best thing is just to go with what you like best. You can't really go wrong.
