M-Pro 7 Gun Oil LPX. Is this a good blade oil?

Hey BF,

I picked up some of this stuff even though I usually use Hoppes/CLP/Remoil for guns but I thought this may make a good blade oil.

Anyone used this for blade oil? Long term storage, cleaning EDC's at the end of the day, breaking in new folders, etc?

Thanks in advance all :)
If you use your blade to cut any type of food, I wouldn't use it. I normally just wipe my blades clean at the end of the day with dish soap or isopropyl alcohol and wipe the blade clean.

LPX is an excellent lubricant and preservative and will work well to lube and protect your knives. LPX has a low toxicity rating so it will be safe for occasional food preparation use. However if you are doing a lot of food preparation then mineral oil would be a better choice.

I use RAND CLP.
